Graphic Cabinets


Graphic Cabinets currently present Group RaCubist Drawings by Otto Gutfreund and Drawings and Illustrations by Jan Preisler in the Trade Fair Palace. Selected Masterpieces of European Prints and Drawings from the 16th and 17th Centuries are now displayed in the Schwarzenberg Palace. Free entry for children and youth up to 26 years old.

Termination of collaboration with the curator of special projects


On 15 November 2019, the National Gallery Prague terminated its collaboration with the curator of special projects, Adam Budak. His employment was terminated in an entirely standard way, namely by his dismissal from his post, followed by notice in writing that includes a lawful notice period.

New exhibition in the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia coming soon


On 6/12 we will open a new exhibition Beautiful Madonnas, which will present major works of the Beautiful Style, including the Beautiful Madonna of Leogang or Beautiful Madonna of Hallstatt. Due to the preparation of the new exhibition, we apologize for the increased noise level in the premises of the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia.

The work of Giacometti for the first time exclusively in Prague


Albert Giacometti's first ever retrospective exhibition in the Czech Republic is currently taking place at the Trade Fair Palace. More than 100 statues and 50 paintings and paper works were loaned to the National Gallery Prague by the Fondation Giacometti, Paris.
