Lucie Kouřilová completed her master’s programme in Restoration of Painted Artworks and Polychrome Sculptures at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Studio of Professor Karel Stretti. Currently, she is studying a doctoral programme at the AoFA under the supervision of Associate Professor Adam Pokorný. During her studies, she went abroad for a work stay in the Opificio delle Pietre Dure restoration institute in Florence.
In the National Gallery Prague, Lucie Kouřilová specialises in the restoration of hanging pictures on canvas, wood, and metal, conservation surveys, collection fund artwork care, and participating in exhibition preparation – especially in the Collection of Old Masters. Her NGP-related activities involve her in research project investigation, as well as in international workshops and conferences.
