Klára Velíšková realises conservation surveys, studying painting techniques, restoring works, and ensuring preventive care for works in the collection of French art and the Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art. She graduated in Restoration of Painted Artworks and Polychrome Sculptures from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Studio of Professor Karel Stretti. Since 2016, she has studied a doctoral programme under the guidance of Associate Professor Adam Pokorný. In 2019, she completed a week-long study stay in Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden within the Dresden Prague Exchange Programme. Several times, Klára Velíšková has cooperated on the restoration of Buddhist murals in Ladakh, North India, under the auspices of the Tibet Heritage Fund. During her studies at the AoFA in 2013, she underwent a five-month study stay in the Institut national du patrimoine in Paris, which focuses on restoration.
