Jana Dřevíkovská studied at the Institute of Restoration and Conservation Techniques in Litomyšl, the Studio of Restoration and Conservation of Paper, Bookbinding and Documents. Currently, she’s working in the National Gallery part-time as a restorer of paper, contributing to the preparation of artwork on paper, parchment, and related materials for exhibition. Her main interests include the restoration of illuminated manuscripts, colour layer fixation on paper and parchment, studying Medieval colour making techniques, examining illuminated manuscripts, studying the damage to artworks on paper over time, the evolution of restoration techniques, approaches, and ethical attitudes.
