What is European Friends of Museums Day?
It is an international event that brings together communities of friends of museums and galleries from all over Europe. On Sunday 13/10 2024, European museums and galleries will celebrate together through a variety of activities open not only to members but also to the general public. Institutions from France, Italy, Germany, Spain and many more will be taking part in this year's European Friends of Museums Day.

What can we look forward to during the European Friends of Museums Day at the NGP?
As part of the celebrations, we have prepared a special workshop for adults to accompany Libuše Jarcovjáková's short-term exhibition free of charge. Come along with your family or friends and try your hand at making art inspired by the work of this artist! You can also compete on the spot for exciting prizes with the NGP logo that we have prepared for you.

16.00-19.00 Workshop for adults on the Libuše Jarcovjáková exhibition The workshop is open to all visitors and participation in the workshop is not conditional on membership of the Club of Friends.
16.00-19.00 Extended opening hours of the short-term exhibition Libuše Jarcovjáková Entrance to the exhibition will be open to the general public only with a valid ticket, while members of the Club of Friends will be admitted free of charge with a valid membership card.

About the Libuše Jarcovjáková workshop
Come and enjoy some art and non-art experiments that we regularly organize for adults during our Sunday evenings! On the occasion of the European Friends of Museums Day, we will focus on the work of photographer Libuše Jarcovjáková. Through several creative activities, with an archive full of black and white and colour snapshots and light highlighting a certain atmosphere, we will unveil the themes of identity, authenticity and respect with a great deal of originality. Exceptional encounters with artworks, workshops and a shared dialogue await you. Previous artistic inexperience is welcome.
