“A world of idleness, drink and beggary” – the work of the German artist Georg Grosz radically reflects the negative aspects of city life, social imbalance and a critical view of society. His work was widely known and disseminated in Bohemia shortly after the release of his most popular cycle *Ecce homo* (Behold the Man, 1922). Grosz influenced and inspired Czech artists, especially those associated with the satirical magazine *Trn* (Thorn). The Cabinet of Prints and Drawings offers visitors a display of drawings and watercolours by Czech artists – Vojtěch Tittelbach, František Tröster and Otakar Mrkvička – shown together with prints by Georg Grosz. The exhibition contains works created in the 1920s from the collections of the National Gallery in Prague.
