Daily Operation curated by Elisa R. Linn & Lennart Wolff
Place: Trade Fair Palace
Action type: Speciál
Curated by Elisa R. Linn & Lennart Wolff (km temporaer)
The screening brings together a series of video works by Will Benedict, Zbyněk Baladrán, Anna Daučíková, Julia Heyward, Georgie Nettell and John Smith, that record and appropriate everyday scenes and actions as well as popular formats like music videos. Ranging from psychological portrait, autobiographical mythologies to documentary observations the works employ multiple narratives working against linguistic obligations and hierarchies. Here language appears in the form of speech acts – performing slippage and mutability – visual associational systems and the use of text in moving image.
