The dragon is one of the central symbols of East Asian culture, endowed with positive (Yang) energy and creative force, and this is also why it became the symbol of this publication, acquaints us with the interesting and in this country not yet investigated phenomenon of the influence of traditional and contemporary East Asian art and Japanese pop culture on the work of Czech artists of the younger and middle generation after the year 2000. The individual chapters concentrate on various spheres of visual art from painting, sculpture, video art and installations through to inspiration in the fields of designer jewellery, design or contemporary fashion.
