Ars linearis is a periodical carrying scholarly articles devoted to art on paper and parchment from the Middle Ages to the present. The journal comes out once a year and contains essays presented at a scholarly colloquium. The authors are the leading authorities in the field in the Czech Republic; their treatises are of a high scientific level, while also being of interest to a more general public. The volume helps to disseminate an awareness of works of art that cannot be on permanent display due to their sensitivity to light and other climatic conditions.
