Prints and Drawings by Michael Leoppold Willmann and Artists from his Circle

The connecting motif of the drawings and prints presented here is that of light and its portrayal in drawings by masters of the High Baroque. Another no less significant motif is the origin of these artifacts, mostly derived from the circle of Michael L. Willmann. Alhough we present only a few of Willmann's drawings, along with those of his stepson, Jan Kryštof Liška, the selection of works is also enriched by another member of the Willmann family, Jiří Vilém Neunherz. Several other artists are included in the exhibition, such as Petr Brandl, due to certain Willmann influences in their drawings.
